Tenancy agreements for landlords and tenants
We provide expert advice on all aspects of tenancy agreements.
Tenancy agreements are particularly unusual in that obligations imposed by a landlord on a tenant to carry out repairs are probably unenforceable.
The Landlord and Tenant Act provides that any clause in a tenancy agreement or other document which seeks to make the tenant responsible for repairs which are covered by that act is not valid.
This is a specialist area -- we provide specialist advice.
Just because a clause in a tenancy agreement states that you are responsible for a particular matter, it is not conclusive.
