Peasegoods was established in 1982 as a legal practice that would serve the locality of North Manchester. The areas of Blackley, Cheetham Hill, Crumpsall, Broughton, Higher Broughton, Harpurhey, Middleton, Moston, Failsworth, Collyhurst and Newton Heath could now benefit from legal advice on their doorstep.

The founder, Margaret Peasegood, wanted to create a practice to fufill a need where city centre large firms were either seen as too expensive or simply not interested in providing a legal service to local residents. Determined to ensure a friendly and approachable practice, in the late 1980's the practice moved to their current address on Rochdale Road which is situated opposite the North Manchester Sixth Form College.

Initially established in the areas of personal injury, housing problems, wills probate and conveyancing, that expertise continues to this day.

Senior management has been continually committed to staff training and development and as such the firm is Investor in People accredited and has held a franchise to carry out publicly funded work since 1994.

In 1997 Margaret Peasegood retired from legal practice and the firm was purchased by Steve Mealand and Ray Towers. With this continued investment in the firm and a commitment to local practice we are still the local law firm where you can walk in off the street and get the best possible advice for all your personal injury, housing, wills, probate and conveyancing legal needs.

We want to build on this commitment to North Manchester's legal needs and this web site is designed to point you to the right people within the practice and give you some intial advice.
